本市出身の上村吉太朗さんは、4歳のときに市立浪切ホールで観た歌舞伎鑑賞教室での公演がきっかけ。このときに出演していた上村吉弥さんとのご縁から歌舞伎の世界へ。その後、片岡我當さんの部屋子になり、6歳のときに初舞台。以降、華々しい活躍をしています。令和4年度の「咲くやこの花賞」を受賞されました。
